ZiRO FAQs
How hard is Zirconium?
Zirconium is harder than platinum.
How thick is the black?
Our Black Zirconium rings are not plated or coated with any other substance. They are created through a heat-treating process that causes the ring’s entire surface to oxidise and, therefore, turn black. This allows us to create stunning two-tone designs by cutting into the metal to reveal the silver tone of the natural zirconium beneath the surface.
Will Zirconium scratch?
Your ZiRO ring is crafted from zirconium, chosen for its exceptional strength, resilience, and ability to withstand extreme temperatures. While highly durable, zirconium is not completely scratch resistant and may develop minor nicks, scratches, or marks through everyday wear. These are considered normal wear and are not regarded as manufacturing defects.
Can Zirconium rings be made with a Comfort Curve™?
Yes
What Are The Care Guidelines For Zirconium?
Zirconium is an exceptionally durable metal, chosen for its strength, resilience, and distinctive appearance. While highly resistant to wear, it is not completely scratch proof, and minor marks may develop over time through normal use.
To keep your ZiRO ring looking its best, we recommend removing it during heavy manual work, weight training, or activities involving hard or abrasive surfaces. Avoid wearing other metal rings on the same or adjacent fingers, as they may cause scratching. Clean your ring regularly with warm water, mild soap, and a soft cloth, and store it separately from other jewellery when not being worn.
With proper care, your zirconium ring will maintain its unique character and appearance for many years to come.
